Dear Judy and family,

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and sincere condolences for your family´s recent loss. As you may know, I had the distinct pleasure of serving with Kent in the USCG Yard Security Police Department in Baltimore, MD where I witnessed Kent to be an outstanding leading petty officer who led by example and was in inspirational mentor to his subordinates and a sage advisor to all others during our time together.

There is little that can be said to ease your family´s grief now, but I hope it helps to know that Kent was well known, highly respected, touched many lives both within and outside the service, and was a unique individual who will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate to have known him. My thoughts are with you and your family during these difficult times and I wish Kent fair winds and following seas on his final voyage.

With Deepest Sympathy,

Edward F. Clancy Jr., CWO-4 (BOSN) USCG (Ret.)

Kent will be missed by all who knew him! He was always willing to help others and was a true team player I had the privilege of working alongside Kent for years at PBPD in Dispatch. Kent was truly selfless and always willing to lend a hand. I know firsthand as he swept broken glass out of my SUV and put a trash bag over my seat so I could drive home after we were in lock down at EOC during a hurricane My sincere condolences and prayers go out to his family, friends. Rest easy my friend your watch is over!
