Kent Wildman Obituary

He was born on November 18, 1950, in Elkhart, Indiana to Lorabel (Ferverda) Wildman and Harold Rex Wildman. Kent earned his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Education and taught at Washington Elementary School and Sacred Heart Elementary School as well as in the Dominican Republic. Kent also owned and operated Wildman Construction from 1978 until retirement due to Parkinson's.
He was married on November 17, 1979, at the Free Methodist Church in Winona Lake, Indiana to Roxanne Sarver. They were blessed with 46 years of marriage before Kent passed away. Kent was always very involved in the lives of his children and his community. He coached pee-wee football for many years and volunteered with the bike rides for kids. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and biking. Kent enjoyed keeping active doing weight lifting, mountain biking, rock climbing and he loved to travel. Always one to be friendly he never knew a stranger and loved getting to know people. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend to many.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Roxanne Wildman (Warsaw, IN); two sons, Joseph Wildman (Durango, CO); Isaac Wildman (Durango, CO); and his daughter, Kari Roxanne Wildman (Goshen, IN). Also surviving are two grandchildren, Hunter and Parker; three brothers, Steve (Susan) Wildman (Boulder, CO); Brent (Karen) Wildman (Winona Lake, IN); Rod (Nancy) Wildman (Winona Lake, IN); and his brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Long (Winona Lake, IN). He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorabel Wildman in 2019, father, Harold Rex Wildman in 2020, sister, Wendy Long in 2017, and his nephew, Jason Wildman.
Kent's life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by his nephew, Pastor Jonathan Childers. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. He will be buried at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
