Kent Woehrmann, 72 of Hurricane formerly of Vernal, left us much too soon. He was born November 8, 1949, to Albert and Leola Woehrmann and raised in Vernal where he excelled in wrestling at Uintah.
He worked in various parts of the oil field most of his career including Dowell and Brown Oil where he gained the knowledge to start his own company, Kenco. He also served one term as Uintah County Assessor.
He has three amazing children whom he adored (and who wrote this obituary) with then wife Sandy Sutton. He enjoyed camping, horses, and old cars. He loved taking the boat to Steinaker reservoir and getting together with family for the holidays and reunions. He owned and restored several old Mustangs over the years, built a '32 Ford Roadster, and drove a Harley for some time.
He built a cabin up Dry Fork canyon (with family help and grandpa telling us it was all wrong) where he lived for several years. He worked for a brief time in Grand Junction, and then moved closer to his daughter Keeley in St. George. He attended the grandkids sports games, played with his dog Maverick, and went 4-wheel riding with the whole family as much as possible.
He was funny, always the jokester. Sent a card for every occasion and was disappointed if they arrived late. He was one of the kindest men you could ever know. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his children Dustin Woehrmann (Jeffery Hebert) of New Orleans, LA; Keeley Hamilton (Jeff) of St. George; and Laci Jellinich (LeAnn) of Lehi; five wonderful grandchildren; brother Richard Woehrmann of Tucson, AZ; and sister Barbara Miller of Vernal.
Funeral services will be held Friday July 29, 2022, at 11 AM at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Friends can greet the family Thursday evening 6-8 PM and Friday 10 AM to time of service. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Because Animals Matter. They were very helpful in finding Maverick a new home. https://www.becauseanimalsmatter.com/
