Kenyon V. Hopkins

Kenyon V. "Ken" Hopkins, 94, of Falconer, formerly of the Brookside Estates passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025 in Hertige Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. He was born March 21, 1931 in Jamestown, the son of the late Merle M. and Doris E. Johnson Hopkins. Ken was a 1948 graduate of Falconer High School and prior to retirement was employed by the former Clark Supply Company as a salesman for 25 years. In 1990 Ken was inducted into the Horseshoe Hall of Fame and served as President of the Falconer Horseshoe Club and was instrumental in starting that league. Ken also enjoyed bowling for many years in several area leagues. One year he and his four sons won the Businessman's League at State Lanes in Falconer. Ken was a member of the Vikings Lodge, Falconer Moose Club; former member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, and Jamestown Eagles Club. He enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with family and friends and going to the Vikings Summer home. Ken also enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit relatives. Ken was an avid Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Pirates fan. Surviving are two sons: Roland C. "Chuck" Hopkins of North Carolina, Timothy M. (Karen) Hopkins of Celoron, NY; two daughters; Lorell E. Meacham of Buffalo, Michelle L. (Trey) Hawkins of Jamestown; grandchildren: Christine Parinella, Trisha Hopkins, Heather Carr, Alicia Hawkins, Dalton Hawkins, and several great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sandra L. "Sandy" Walden Hopkins whom he married October 30, 1964 in Falconer, who died August 11, 2021; two sons: Kenyon W. "Hoppy" Hopkins, Randall P. Hopkins, and a granddaughter Lisa Meacham. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer. Friends will be received by the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be donated to the Falconer Fire Department.
