Theresa May Frye

Poughkeepsie - Theresa May Frye, 80, of Poughkeepsie, died Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center. Mrs. Frye was a homemaker and a long time area resident. She previously resided in Warwick, Rhode Island and Winchester, Virginia. Born in Walden, NY on October 9, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Rene and Caroline Turner Burger. She graduated from Newburgh Schools. On September 11, 1949 in Newburgh, she married Harris Lee Frye. Her husband of 58 Years survives at home. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Laura Lee McKenna and husband, Michael, of Warwick, RI, and, Lisa G. Kunkel and husband, Joseph, of Poughkeepsie; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 pm, Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park. Funeral services will follow at 4pm at the funeral home. Rev. Eileen Freeman will be officiating. In keeping with Theresa's wishes, cremation will take place at the convenience of the family.
