Kermit Williams, Jr. departed this life at his residence on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the age of 64. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Kermit was a 1977 graduate of L. B. Landry Senior High School, where he excelled academically and in various sports. He attended Grambling State University, and later graduated from Southeast College of Technology with a degree in Computer Graphic Design in 2000. Kermit retired in 2021 as an Engineer with Hyatt Centric French Quarter Hotel. He was previously employed as an Engineer Aide with the Port of New Orleans, and with JRL Publishers as a Computer Graphic Designer. Beloved father of Damond Anthony “Tony” Bryant, Sr. Loving grandfather of Damon, Jr., Semyria, Dallas, Damon, Danielle, and Da’Mya. Beloved son of Shirley Williams Thomas, and the late Kermit Williams, Sr. Grandson of the late Joseph Williams, Sr. Irene Jackson Williams, Sanders Coleman, Sr. and Beatrice Price Coleman. Brother of Debra William Clark, Pashena Williams Casimire, and Randall “Skelly” Benton Williams. Uncle of Malachi Williams Casimire. Nephew of Patricia Williams Thomas (his godmother), Carolyn Williams Miller, Ethel Williams Alexander, Gaynell Coleman, Donald Williams, Philip Coleman, Sr., Jamal Coleman Musawwir, and Lucian Coleman Musawwir. Father-in-law of Jamie Bryant. Brother-in-law of Lyle A. Casimire, Sr. and Byron M. Clark. Also cherishing his memories is his first cousin and godchild Paris M. Coleman, and a host of other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
