Kerr Diane Owen, of Easley, South Carolina, wife of the late Phillip B. Owen, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Born in Brevard, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Anna Belle Owen. Kerr worked at Alice Manufacturing Company for 10 years and later obtained her GED and Associate's Degree. A strong Christian woman, she was a member of Galilee Baptist Church, where she loved to sing and worship. She found great joy camping with her family along the Blue Ridge Parkway and was known for her friendly and loving spirit. Her faith and her family were the cornerstones of her life.
She is survived by her son, Eric A. Owen of Easley; two daughters, Debbie Ternese Stewart (Ricky) of Easley and Loretta Rhodes (Tony) of Piedmont; two brothers, Marcus Owen (Julie) of Tuckasegee, North Carolina and Monty Owen (Ginger) of Balsam Grove, North Carolina; seven sisters, Patricia Owen (Devon) of Lake Toxaway, North Carolina, Anna Robinson of Salem, South Carolina, Jenny Queen (Frank) of Cary, North Carolina, Nina McCall (Carl) of Balsam Grove, North Carolina, Tency McCall (Rodney) of Balsam Grove, North Carolina, Connie McCall (Michael) of Ohio, and Janie Cauble (Jamie) of Brevard, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Phillip Owen, Justin Stewart Russell Stewart (Savannah), Kayla Colangelo (Anthony) and Chance “Gus” Owen; and six great-grandchildren Brooklyn Owen, Adriana Colangelo, Anthony Owen, C.J. Stewart, Chappell Stewart and Danni Stewart.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Darryl Owen; a sister, Vonda Owen; and a great-granddaughter, Sabrina Anderson.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
