My memories of Kerry always include laughter - lots of laughter, riding the coolest bikes in the neighborhood (diamond backs & mongooses), digging a gigantic hole in the ground in the woods across the street from my house that became known as "The Pit" where neighborhood kids hung out, he was the first person I ever saw wearing Vans shoes and he always signed his name with a mini checkerboard saying "check-it-out". And one time, there was a dance a Washington High School that I wanted to go to and even though he did not want to go, he got dressed up and came anyway so I would have someone to dance with. This alone demonstrates what a good heart he had. We had a lot of fun in our early teen years and though I hadn't seen him in 30+ years I'm so sorry to hear he has gone. May he rest in peace.
