Keum Ohk Jeon

KeumOhk Jeon was born February 5th, 2023 in Pyeongtaek, South Korea. Inhyun Jeon, her husband of over 60 years will forever miss her love and presence. All of her family, except for her husband and one lovingly devoted daughter (Kiyoung Mukai), live in South Korea. This includes three other daughters and one son. Inhyun spent most of his life taking care of his wife and when they relocated to Washington, Kiyoung also helped care for KeumOhk. KeumOhk will be missed by so much of her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and son-in-law, John Mukai.
KeumOhk Jeon passed on from this life on February 9th, 2023. This was four days after her birthday. It is a week that other family members have birthdays too. She chose this week of birthdays, because it's a week that life began so close to hers. So we celebrate her new beginning. In the Buddhist faith, our loved ones are never truly gone, but reborn. Her body suffers no more. KeumOhk will live on in the air we breathe and the earth she returns to. She will forever be with us in the light and colors we see all around us. She is the wind and rain on our skin. She is the warmth of the sun and flowers in full rainbows. Grandmother, mother, wife, child- KeumOhk, you have been all these things and now you are so much more.
And you will always be with us, because love never dies.
