KEVIN PAUL BARNES

BARNES, Kevin Paul Passed away, at the age of 67, after a brief struggle with cancer. Originally from Revere, MA and most recently Malden, MA, Kevin was the son of Julie (Annese) Barnes of Saugus, MA and the late William A. Barnes. He was the brother of Attorney Ronald S. Barnes of Ipswich, MA. Kevin was a graduate of Tufts University and for many years served as a mechanical engineer with a specialty in designing assembly lines for the automotive industry. A special acknowledgment must be made to the staff of the Malden Public Library where Kevin, an avid reader, would spend a great deal of time in his later years building a strong bond with the staff. In addition, Kevin's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Nurse Maggie McSweeny who counseled and comforted Kevin in his final days. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Kevin's memory to the Malden Public Library. You may do so by sending a check to, Malden Public Library, 36 Salem Street, Malden, MA 02148. In the memo, please include: "In memory of Kevin Barnes." A Visitation for Kevin will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 4:00- 6:00PM, at Paul Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, REVERE, MA. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 9:00AM, followed by a prayer service at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, MA.
