Death Notice

Kevin Brown

1954 - 2022

Kevin Edward Brown, 68, of Galloway passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022.
Kevin, or as many knew him, "KB", was a loving father and generous man who had a big heart and even bigger bear hug. He was born on February 4th, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY and grew up on Long Island. Kevin enjoyed his younger days playing basketball at St. John the Baptist High School (1972) and spent his college days hitchhiking to music festivals while attending SUNY Oneonta (1976).
Kevin moved to Atlantic City with some close friends as soon as gambling opened. He started his gaming career at Resorts as a craps dealer in 1980 where he met the wonderful mother of his children, Kathie.
Before long he became a shift manager and eventually the Executive Director of Table Games. After more than 30 years at Resorts he moved to Rhode Island and held that same title at Twin River for nine years before retiring in the spring of 2021.
For the past year he has been able to enjoy all his favorite hobbies - swimming in the pool, playing guitar, fishing, playing golf, and avoiding Patriots fans.
Kevin has three loving children - he is survived by his two daughters, Jaime and Jessica, and he now joins his son Tommy in heaven. Kevin was a fun-loving dad, always making us laugh, and always there when things got difficult.
Kevin is survived by his loving family: sister Eileen (Bill) Wetzel, brothers Thomas (Denise) and Gary (Camille) Brown, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also joins his mother and father, Thomas and Catherine Brown, in heaven.
Anyone who knew Kevin knew he was a gentle soul and a loyal friend. If you're ever missing him, take a swig of Coors Light, a sip of Grand Marnier, and toast to the Mets and Jets.
A gathering in Kevin's honor will be held at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd, Galloway NJ, 08205 on Saturday August 13th from 2-4pm with a short service to follow at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations directly to the family or to the Community Food Bank in EHT, NJ.
