Kevin F. Carroll

Fishers Island - With deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Kevin Francis Carroll, 63, on December 22, 2025, on Fishers Island, N.Y.

Born in Baltimore, Kevin was the son of the late Dr. Gerald Joseph Carroll and Dorothy Creel Carroll. He graduated from Boys' Latin School and attended Towson University.

Kevin grew up in Baltimore and spent many happy summers on Fishers Island, which became his permanent home around 2014. He lived life with passion and humor and was known for his love of storytelling. A lifelong lacrosse enthusiast, devoted outdoorsman, and lover of language, Kevin delighted in sharing his interests with those around him.

An accomplished sailor, Kevin was a standout competitor in the International One Design class and a longtime member of the Fishers Island Yacht Club IOD fleet. Racing aboard Jester, he won the IOD World Championship in 2016 and qualified again in 2025. Teammates often said he brought both intensity and laughter wherever he went.

Kevin's infectious smile and booming laugh were a gift to all who knew him. A devoted father and grandfather, his greatest joy was his family.

Kevin was predeceased by his parents and siblings Gerald Joseph Carroll, John Gregory Carroll, and Maura Eileen Doucette. He is survived by his former wife, Ann Dyson Carroll; his daughters, Katie and Lilly; his granddaughters, Lyla and Laney; and his beloved dog, Bodi.

A Fishers Island send-off will be held January 3, 2026, at 3:30 p.m., followed by a reception at the Legion. A Baltimore service will take place January 31, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Redeemer. A summer celebration of life will be announced.
