Mr. Kevin Wayne Doolin

Mr. Kevin Wayne Doolin, 53, of Heidrick, passed away January 24, 2024 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. He was the son of Jackie Root and the late Ralph Sterling Doolin and Mary Bernice Abner Doolin born December 7, 1970 in Corbin.
Kevin was a mechanic and farmer and believed in the Baptist faith. He enjoyed collecting case knives and guns, hunting, working outside and carpentry. He especially enjoyed spending time with and helping his family.
On December 20, 1991, he united in marriage with Kathy Jo McDaries.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Doolin; a niece, "Baby P" Doolin and step-father, Frankie Root.
Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Kathy Doolin of Heidrick; his mother, Jackie Root of Girdler; dearly loved children, Todd Doolin and wife, Alex, of Richmond, Jacob Doolin and Brittney Doolin; sister, Nicole Partin and husband, Scott, of Poplar Creek; a brother, Mike Doolin and wife, Kopie, of Girdler; a sister-in-law, Bobbie Doolin of Heidrick; treasured grandchildren, Preston Banks Doolin and baby Doolin to arrive soon; several nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, January 30 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Michael DeLand and Scott Partin officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Tuggle-Doolin Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Dakota Doolin, Michael Doolin, Mark Burnette, Billy Howard and Scott Partin. Serving as honorary bearers will be Todd Doolin, Jacob Doolin, Gavin "Goob" Partin, Samuel Doolin, Shepherd Doolin, Silas Doolin and Sterling Doolin.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Hasni, the Dialysis Center of Pineville and the Cleveland Clinic.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
