Kevin Eickhoff, age 66, of Hartington, Nebraska died at his residence on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
Public visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. A private family service will also be held for Kevin. Cremation will take place following the services.
Kevin was born August 16, 1958 in Yankton, South Dakota to Anthony and Theresa (Heimes) Eickhoff. He grew up in Hartington and graduated from Hartington High School. After graduation, Kevin moved to Orange County, CA and worked for his brothers, Roger and Don, at Allied Sprinklers. He married Shelly Marie Moore on May 12, 1990 and three children were born, Kory, Erica and Sarah. In 2014, Kevin moved back to Hartington. He worked at Comfy Feet and then at Cedar Beef until he retired in 2023. He was known for his unwavering kindness and genuine desire to help others. Throughout his life, Kevin Eickhoff took great joy in serving and supporting those around him, whether through his work, volunteer efforts, or simply lending a listening ear to those in need. His compassion knew no bounds, and his legacy of helping others will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Kevin is survived by his three children: Kory (Samantha) Eickhoff of Murrieta, CA, Erica Eickhoff (Waylon Payer) of Yankton and Sarah Eickhoff of San Diego, CA; six grandchildren: Averie, Emerie, Briella, Kenzie, Livia and Kameron; seven siblings: B’zie Hartman, Bob Eickhoff, Chaz Manby, Don Eickhoff, Joyce Most, Joanie Phlanz and Keith Eickhoff; and many nieces and nephews.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Eickhoff.
