Kevin Kay Hebertson, 73, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away from complications from a stroke at this home on Sunday, July 7, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving son, Kevin Jr., and their loving dogs, Indie, Bubba, and Zippy.
Kevin was born September 10, 1951, in Rigby, Idaho, to Jeannette Cole Hebertson. He grew up in the southeast Idaho area.
Kevin served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Expert Badge for the M-16, along with a Drivers Badge. Kevin retired from the military earning an E-4 Power Pack Specialist ranking.
Kevin lived his life his way and was one hell of a man. He was very loved and respected by all who knew him. Kevin passed on his wonderful ways to his beloved son, Kevin Jr.
Kevin enjoyed camping, working on guns, building many things with his brilliant mind, doing mechanics, and spending time with his son and their dogs.
Kevin is survived by his son, Kevin C. Hebertson Jr.; his adopted children, Elissa Hayward and her three children; one grandson, Eric (Holly) Reid and their four children.
The family will be holding a private funeral at a later date.
