Kevin Eugene Heiser, 54, of Belvidere, IL passed away after a tragic automobile accident Friday, October 9, 2015, in Tomah, WI.
He was a Sgt. E-5 in the U.S. Army National Guard.
He was a police officer in Genoa, IL for 13 years. He worked on the police force for 35 years including, Pecatonica P.D., Rockford Park District P.D., Belvidere Auxiliary Police, Metro Center Police, Boone County Volunteer and Rescue Squad, and Boone County Dive Team.
The Northern Illinois Multi-Jurisdictional Honor Guard was proud and honored to provide an Honors Memorial Service for Officer Heiser.
The Northern Illinois Multi-Jurisdictional Honor Guard wishes to thank the Heiser family for providing us with the great honor to participate in the memorial service for Officer Heiser.
The strength and courage you displayed throughout this devastating time is remarkable.
Rest easy Officer Heiser, as you patrol the streets from heaven and we will carry on in your honor.

My heart aches. I didn't live close by, so I have only seen Kevin maybe 10 times in the past 34 years. But he's always been one of my favorite people. The man has a heart of gold, a love of life that's unsurpassed, and compassion in abundance for all. He helped anyone that needed it, whether it required his muscle, brain, kind words, or just his shoulder to cry on. Heaven is a better place with Kevin in it. We will all miss you so much Kevin.
