Kevin Michael Hood

Kevin Michael Hood was a loving husband, father, grandpa (Crapa) and friend. He left this world suddenly on August 20, 2023.
He was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Bill and Kathy Hood on May 18, 1974. Kevin participated in sports in his early years and liked to brag that he was fast and good at stealing bases in baseball. After graduating high school, Kevin joined the Army National Guard, where he proudly served for 9 years.
Kevin met his best friend and wife, Celeste, while working as a security guard. They were married and he instantly and very graciously became the dad of 5. They moved to Idaho where Kevin started his career in construction. While there, Kevin welcomed 2 more children into the family. The family then moved to Texas where Kevin continued to grow and advance in the construction field. He started working as a Superintendent for jobs all over the country and one of his finally jobs was located in the Bahamas. They finally settled in Virginia. Kevin was a very dedicated worker and made friends everywhere he went.
His greatest joy in life was being a dad to 7 and 'Crapa' to 5 grandsons. He had a tender heart and was always ready to help them when needed. They were his pride and joy. He loved being surrounded by family and friends and always had a smile and a joke to share. Kevin's favorite place to be was his home in Virginia. He spent a lot of his time building and remodeling to make their house a home. He loved the peaceful countryside and enjoyed fishing, bbq's, movie nights (especially Spaceballs), cold beer and sitting around the fire pit roasting marshmallows.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Celeste. His children: Zachary (Amit), Alicia (Chad), Hayden, Eleanora, Samara, M'Kaylee and Ireland. And his grandsons: Holden, Kyler, Karter, Koda and Draelin.
Kevin was full of laughter and dad jokes, advice and love. He was the families anchor and compass. He will be deeply missed.
