Kevin Norman Johnston, 69, of Warwick, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Sheila (Briggs) Johnston. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Norman W. Johnston, Sr. and Olive Marie (Eagleson) Johnston.

Blessed with great talent, Kevin worked for many years as an expert painter who was widely sought after for his craftsmanship. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Warwick Firefighters Association. Above all else, Kevin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother who will be greatly missed.

Alongside his wife, Sheila (Briggs) Johnston of Warwick, he is survived by his beloved daughter, Kristine Pontarelli, his cherished grandchildren, Avayah Stevens, Elliana Stevens, and Leilani Oliver, who lovingly called him "Pop", his siblings, Michael J. McKeown and Maryann Sasso, his sisters-in-law, Christine "Tina" Eddy, Sheryl Dooley, and Tina Briggs, many nieces and nephews, and his son, Sean M. Johnston.

He was the brother of the late John F. Kilgallon and Catherine M. Gilchrist.

A Celebration of Kevin's Life will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, 2:00PM, at Bottom Line Bar and Grill, 415 Palmer Avenue, Warwick, RI 02889. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
