Kevin Kaminsky, 64, of Raymond, died at his home on Saturday, November 8, 2025, under hospice care after a short and courageous battle with lung cancer. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar, www.hafh.org.
Kevin was born to Janet A. (Ardolf) and Francis J. Kaminsky on December 8, 1960, in Winstead, MN. Throughout his life he lived in numerous towns in central Minnesota, including, Silver Lake, Sauk Centre, Hawick, Willmar, Raymond, Atwater, Litchfield, Melrose, and Kandiyohi; making Raymond his home for the past 22 years. Kevin graduated high school from Litchfield Senior High School in 1978. He joined the Minnesota Army National Guard where he proudly served for over 25 years, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. Following high school, Kevin began a long and dedicated career with Jennie-O Turkey Store, where he worked for over 40 years and retired as a plant manager.
Kevin was a very out-going, caring person who made friends easily. Kevin's legacy will always be his caring, giving personality. Kevin was a proud father to not only his only two children but also the children he gained along the way. He was the proudest grandpa and loved his grandkids. He was so happy baking cookies or brownies with them every chance he got. Kevin had a passion for the military and for his motorcycle, a part of him he passed on to his son Jacob. Kevin enjoyed attending rodeos, working in his garden, and canning the produce he grew.
Kevin is survived by his children: Jacob (Whitney) and Amanda; grandchildren: Hunter, Addie, Izzy, Sabrina, and Sierra; step-children: Sidney Sieu, Tiffany Gruman (Tom), Matthew Rios, and Emily Ritter; and step-grandsons: Wyatt, Henry and Oliver. He is also survived by his former step-daughters: Jessica and Stacy (Robert); bonus son Terry (Ashley) Matthewman; and bonus grandkids: Tadyn, Breckyn and Amiya Willert; his siblings: Keith Kaminsky (Arlene), Karen Johnson (Kevin), Kathy Skalberg (Scott), and Kerry Moberg (Jen); several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and countless friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his father: Francis Kaminsky; his mother: Janet (Ardolf) Moberg; and his stepfather: Allan Moberg.
The family wishes to thank Ashley for the care she provided Kevin in his final days, and friends, Jessica and Beth, for their support.
