Kevin Malott

I'm so shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Mallott. He didn't like to be called that in the OR, he rather introduced himself as "Kevin" which at once spoke to me how easy going and down to earth he was. Kevin, you were one of the docs that stood out to me when I first started working at Stanford and I looked forward to having you as the anesthesiologist in the room. You showed true compassion for not only your patients but for your colleagues. It was an honour and a pleasure to work alongside with you. My condolences to your family and I pray you are at eternal peace watching over your loved ones.

I enjoyed working with Kevin very much. He was a not only a great anesthesiologist but a great human being.
I had fun talking to him about life, work, skateboarding and what it was like growing up near Mojave. My deepest condolences to Jocelyn and family.

My deepest condolences to the family of Kevin Malott. I've known him from his residency years at Stanford Hospital and Clinics(old moniker). He was truly a compassionate man with a down-to-earth personality. From greeting him in my mornings in the locker room to working beside him in the OR or other regions, he was unwavering in his demeanor: calm, cool and collected. I'm truly shocked and saddened at his passing. :-( May you rest in Paradise, Kevin. Thank you for blessing us with your great personality and presence.

Kevin, you are an embodiment of what it means to be humorous, kind, and generous.
You make the people around you a better person with your personality, intelligence, and humor. I never laugh as hard as when you and Jocelyn are around. We also learned never to challenge you in anything trivia because we will always loose :).
You, as one person, have done so much to improve humanity around you than a whole village. Countless number of students at your medical school have benefited from your contributions, the physicians whom you helped to educate, not only has the patients at Stanford have benefitted by your expertise but also the patients whom you gave up time to aid in third world countries. Kevin, you are forever in our hearts, our memories, you have reached every part of the world with your generosity.

Thank you my friend, it has been a privileged to have you include us in your life.

To the Malott family - Kevin was so nice to all the staff: nursing, housekeeping . . . everyone! He was a very genuine person and an excellent anesthesiologist. I am saddened to hear about his passing. So sorry about your loss. It's our loss too at Stanford. Love and hugs to the family.

I was fortunate enough to work and teach with Kevin for many years at Stanford, and was lucky enough to travel to Rwanda with him on a medical mission. I have rarely met anyone so giving, so calm, and completely devoid of any hang ups. It was my honor to have known him. Rest in peace Kevin.

Dear Jocelyn. I too was very saddened when I heard about Kevin. I keep thinking of you, and I pray for your strength and comfort in these difficult times. Kevin was the nicest and kindest anesthesiologist I ever worked with. Outside of work, I remember going to your house in Union City. He had a gift of making people feel at ease. My deep condolences . I am one of the many people who are lucky and blessed to have worked with him. He is a great doctor , skills, attitude and a very great heart. Cool under pressure. Kind and talks to everyone he works and just an amazing man, He will be deeply deeply missed. He has touched a lot of people's lives not only by his skills, talents, knowledge, but also of his great heart. Rest in Peace .
