Kevin Francis Morrissey

Kevin Francis Morrissey, of Bridgewater, passed away suddenly on August 21, 2023. He was 67. Kevin was born and raised in Holbrook MA, where he played baseball and graduated in the class of 1974. After graduation Kevin was scouted and drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals organization where he played for several years. Following a career ending injury, Kevin moved into the automotive industry and worked for Walter Earl Chevrolet in Bridgewater for over 20 years. As an avid baseball fan, Kevin expressed his love of the sport by playing, watching, coaching, and reading about it any chance he had. He was a proud Little League coach in Bridgewater and Holbrook for many years. It was only perfect for him to then start a baseball camp on Martha's Vineyard, which he ran for 15 years, where he could combine his love of the beach and ocean with his passion for baseball. Kevin will be fondly remembered as having a devilish smile, a great sense of humor, a twinkle in his eye, and always up for a good time.
Devoted father of Kaitlyn Brosnan and her husband Troy of Newburyport and Kevin P. Morrissey of Bridgewater. Cherished grandfather of Jaxon. Son of the late Paul and Christine (Kelly) Morrissey. Loving brother of Michael Morrissey of Bridgewater, Mark Morrissey of Bridgewater, Paula Markowicz of East Bridgewater and the late Rosemary Harris and Christine Morrissey. Kevin leaves behind loved nieces and nephews and countless cherished friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, August 31st from 5-7 PM at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 98 Bedford Street in Bridgewater.
