There was a mere fifteen months age gap between Kevin and myself. As you can imagine, growing up we were really close.
Kevin taught me how to ride his bike, play cricket and fish for sticklebacks. On reflection he was a very tolerant big brother to let his little sister hang out with him and his pals- he never complained!!
I also recall my mother´s horror when he bought his first motor bike. That was my first introduction to speed, riding pillion doing 100mph on Londons North Circular to the Ace cafe and back!!....Never a dull moment with Kevin.
You have left a huge dent in our hearts and I hope you are riding with the angels.
Rest in peace dear brother.

Being the youngest the O'Reilly family i cannot remember much about Kevin before he left home. I do know that he was loved and liked by all my siblings which is no mean feat when you come from a family of nine.
I do remember that he was an animal lover, and that he persuaded our Mother to buy me a kitten for my 4th birthday it was the best birthday present that i had ever received! I was also honoured to be a bridesmaid at his wedding to Grace.
We kept in touch when he moved to the USA. More frequently when he was in hospital, and didn't have any family to visit him.
He was a good person, and we shared lots of happy memories, not least a similar sense of humour.
Rest in peace, Dearest Kevin.

It is a long time ago since we all grew up together in Dollis Hill Lane. I looked up to Kevin, remembering him with a good natured sense of fun and enthusiasm. Recalling a Sunday returning with Kevin from church on his motor bike when a policeman stopped us, puzzled by Kevin's formal attire, "Well", said Kevin "you cannot go to Mass in your leathers". God rest you Kevin, until we all meet again in a better place. Sean
