Kevin Piotrowski

Kevin Piotrowski, age 65, of Stevens Point, died on Monday, January 19, 2026, while wintering in Florida. He was born on May 20, 1960, to Lawrence and Caroline Piotrowski, the last of five children.

Attending local schools, he graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High in 1978. Following graduation, he worked for R.J. Vending, and eventually, the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier. He delivered mail in Wisconsin Rapids for 31 years and his career was an excellent fit for his strong work ethic and warm personality. He thought it ironic that his father lived in Stevens Point and worked in Wisconsin Rapids, as he did, and now, one of his daughters does, too.

Kevin married the love of his life, Karen (née Hintz), on June 27, 1981, and they enjoyed 44 wonderful years together. They had three children, Becky, Kristy, and Tom, all living in the Stevens Point/Plover area. He loved having his family close by and understood how very fortunate he was to have that.

Kevin retired from the post office in 2020 and spent his retirement camping, traveling, woodworking with his CNC machine and his latest addition, a laser machine, to etch his projects. He enjoyed woodworking and made many projects that he shared with family and friends.

Kevin had the gift of gab and loved talking with just about anybody he ever met. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and felt he needed to help in whatever way he could. With a great sense of humor, he loved to have fun, enjoying his family and friends whether it was a game of cribbage, discussing his favorite sports teams or his fascination with weather and severe storms. He loved supporting his children's and grandchildren's interests whether that be a dance recital or a sporting event.

Blessed by this extraordinary husband, father, Bampa/Papa, and brother, his survivors will forever miss him and cherish his memory. They include: his wife, Karen, children Becky (Jeremiah), Kristy (Matt), and Tom (Sarah), grandchildren, Makenna, Luke, Lily, Abby, and Tommy, and siblings, Ron (Linda), Jim (Sue), and Linda Ziolkowski as well as mother-in-law Delores Hintz, and many other relatives and friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, brother Don, brother-in-law Jerry Ziolkowski and father-in-law Edwin Hintz.

Services with be held at a time to be determined at Shuda Funeral Home on Monday, March 9, 2026. This obituary page will be updated when the times are finalized with family.
