I´m sorry I didn´t have more time to get to know Kevin. He was very kind, thoughtful, and welcoming to the new kid in the trumpet section in the FCB and I am grateful for our short time making music together. All my love to the family. I wish you all peace and comfort in this difficult time.

Both Joni and I are deeply saddened by the passing of Kevin. I like many others will miss Kevin. My memories with Kevin are mostly onstage with the Silver Tones Swing Band. What a great trumpet player. Kevin once got me to dance at a gig and I don't dance. His happy smile will always be remembered in our home.

Kevin, I will miss you greatly with our trumpet playing common interests. You were always helping me keep time -- which he had a gift for. One of the best and comical memories was at a Halloween Silver Tones gig where Kevin came dressed as a blind umpire. This always brings a smile to my face. He was a wrestling referee for as long as I have know him -- almost 20 years. To the Rivenburg family, it's hard for me to find the right words -- I will say that your husband and dad brought joy to many through his music. We shared pictures of our grandchildren. We were proud and glad to be grandfathers. I always was appreciative of seeing Debbie, Kevin's wife, and family support his musical interests. In fact, I played music in various bands with all 3 children, Tim, Andrew, and Erin also talented musicians! We will have these great memories in our hearts and minds for the rest of our lives!

Debbie, I am heartbroken to hear this news. Kevin was such a humble and kind person. I have fond memories of hanging out in Camelot playing kick the can till dark in his yard. In high school, the love you both had for each other was admired by many. I am so glad I was able to visit with both of you at the last reunion and share some memories. Love and prayers to you and your family.

My condolences go out to the entire Rivenburg family! Mr. Rivenburg was one of the most loving, amazing, and goofiest dads/grandpas out there! He loved his family and wife so much he would do anything. I loved how close they all were. He felt like a second dad to me anytime I saw them, especially when Erin and I were in college. He will surely be missed so much! A little memory from his daughter´s 30th birthday where her family came out to celebrate her. Her family, especially dad being there made it all more special!
