Kevin Sweeney Obituary
Kevin Sweeney, 68, of Goshen, CT, passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2025 surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 22nd, 1957 in Lansing, Michigan, he was the son of Joseph and Karol Sweeney. A man with a vibrant spirit and genuine kindness, he devoted himself to his family and spent his career as a neurosurgeon saving and improving the lives of countless others.
Kevin married Marta in 1995, and together they built a loving home filled with devotion, laughter, and their three daughters – Alexis, Ashley, and Amanda. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially playing golf, skeet shooting, classic rock, gourmet meals made by his wife, and tending to his property, Emerald Hills Farm.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marta; his daughters – Alexis, Ashley, and Amanda; his brothers, Steve and Tim Sweeney; and his cherished grandchildren: Caden, McKenna, Autumn, Lyla, and Will, who brought him immeasurable joy.
The family is deeply grateful to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and the wonderful hospice team whose compassion and care brought comfort during Kevin's final days.
His presence, kindness, intelligence, humor, and love will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
