Kevin Neal Sybert was the son of Richard and Eileen (Lamb) Sybert. He was born March 4, 1956, in Lima, Ohio. Kevin grew up in Findley, Ohio, and moved to
Salem, Missouri, at the age of fourteen. He graduated in 1974 from Salem High School. On September 16, 1974, Kevin was united in marriage to the love of his life, Deborah "Debbie" Schafer. Together they shared over fifty beautiful years of marriage, raising a family, and building a life rooted in love. They were blessed with two daughters, Dixie and Wayna. Kevin had an entrepreneurial spirit combined with excellent work ethic. He was a successful business owner of Ridge Runner Drilling and Pump Company from 1982 until passing the legacy to his daughter and son-in-law in 2014. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer hunting on the family farm, pheasant hunting in Iowa and South Dakota, and crappie fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks. He had a talent and a passion for woodworking, a hobby that became more of a full-time occupation. Above all, Kevin was dedicated to his family and would do anything for those he loved. His grandchildren were the light of his life; he was genuinely invested in each one and consistently offered advice. He adored his great-grandson and treasured the time spent with him. Kevin departed this life July 17, 2025, in
Salem, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years. He is survived by his loving wife: Debbie Sybert of
Salem, MO; daughters: Dixie Ives and husband Brad of Rolla, MO and Wayna Woolman and husband William of
Salem, MO; grandchildren: Logan Ives and fiancé Sara, Lexy Gray and husband Chandler, Dalton Ives, Karson Ives, Kendall Woolman, and Colton Ives; great-grandson: Myles; siblings: Kit Sybert, Kim Cash and husband Mike, Kirk Sybert, and Kelly Johnston and husband Paul; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding him in death were his parents: Richard and Eileen Sybert; grandparents: Carl and Ruth Sybert; and special cousin: Dale Rohrbach. Kevin was one of a kind with a personality larger than life. His journey through life was marked by an unwavering commitment to his family, friends, and community. His legacy will be carried on by those who loved him most. Funeral Services for Kevin Neal Sybert were held Monday, July 21, 2025, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel. Eulogies were shared by Karson Ives and Jessica Parrott. Song selections played were "One More Day" and "Kiss An Angel Good Morning". Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of
