Khiebkeow Krystal Grunsky

Khiebkeow "Krystal" Grunsky, cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 21, 1965 in Sisaket, Thailand, Krystal filled every moment of her 59 years with an extraordinary zest for life and a spirit that inspired all who knew her.
Krystal was the beloved wife of Mark Grunsky, a loving mother to her children, Jeremy Kelly and Crystal Haner, and a proud Aunt to her expanding family. She was also a dear daughter to Somsri Miles and a devoted sister to Sawin Fritch, Pete Miles and Patty Miles Wheaton.
From a young age, Krystal exhibited a passion for exploring the world. Her travels were fueled by an insatiable curiosity and a desire to experience the beauty in every corner of the earth. Known for her culinary talents, Krystal loved cooking elaborate meals for family gatherings, where laughter and joy were always the main ingredients. Her love for music filled the air as she sang and danced her way through life's ups and downs, teaching those around her to embrace happiness and live fully. She touched countless hearts with her warmth and generosity, often going out of her way to bring joy and comfort to others.
Though diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma in May 2023, Krystal faced her illness with remarkable courage and grace. Her enduring spirit and positivity remained unshaken, providing a beacon of strength to her family and friends till the very end. Krystal leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and resilience. Her joyful presence will continue to inspire those blessed to have known her, reminding us to cherish every moment and fill our lives with love and laughter.
A celebration of Krystal's life will be held with details forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of her vibrant spirit.
