Kilbert Joel Rivera

Kilbert Joel "Yeye, KJ, Killy" Rivera, 31, of Elgin, Illinois, passed away on January 26, 2026. Born on April 29, 1994, in Elgin, Kilbert lived a life rich with creativity, compassion, and spiritual depth. His presence filled every room with laughter, kindness, and a uniquely magnetic energy that drew people in.

Known affectionately by many names-each capturing a different side of his beautiful personality-Kilbert was a son, brother, grandchild, uncle and friend. A healer whose joy was felt by all who knew him. He was the beloved son of Kiomayra Valles and Santos Valles, and the cherished brother of Xaidy, Lorenzo, Hannah and Francis Gonzalzles. Husband to Yadira Camargo and grandchild to Juanita Rodriguez. He was an amazing and loving uncle to his nieces Lilian and Arielli. His family describes him as a "big teddy bear," someone whose warmth and generous spirit could comfort anyone in need.

From an early age, Kilbert showed a remarkable love for music. As drumline captain in high school, he led with enthusiasm and skill, performing in numerous concerts, plays, and talent shows-including proudly taking home first place in the district's talent competition. His rhythm extended far beyond the drums; it pulsed through every aspect of his life.

Driven by a deep spiritual calling, Kilbert became a Shaman and certified Reiki healer. His intuition, compassion, and dedication to helping others find balance and peace made him a trusted guide to many. He found fulfillment in healing and uplifting others, always sharing his light freely and without reservation.

Kilbert's curiosity and creativity knew no bounds. He took joy in woodworking, leather crafting, baking, cooking, and exploring the energetic world of crystals. Constantly learning and growing, he found beauty and inspiration in every new skill and experience. Even in moments of solitude, his mind and hands were always creating.

The family deeply appreciates everyone's support during this time. They find comfort in hearing stories and memories of how Kilbert impacted others' lives. He will be missed greatly and remembered always with love and gratitude.
