Kim Marie Slingerland Hisler
Kim Marie Slingerland Hisler, 65, of Grover, NC, passed away on February 20, 2025 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby. She was born December 4, 1959 in Buffalo, NY, and was preceded in death by her parents, David Slingerland and Jeanette Campbell, and her stepmother Diane Slingerland. Kim was also preceded in death by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Kim worked as a cashier for most of her life, and was most recently employed refurbishing electronics at the Recon Group. She was a former member of Grover Rescue Squad and a member of Proclaiming the Word Ministries in Grover. Kim was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan. She enjoyed creating diamond art and reading her Bible. Kim's pride and joy in life was being a "GiGi" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family will cherish their memories of Kim for the rest of their lives.
SURVIVORS: Husband of 25 years: Easterlin "Mo" Hisler of Grover, NC
Children: David Campbell (Renee, special daughter-in-law and caregiver) of NC, Tammy Szurczynski (Mark) of FL, Krysteene Slingerland of SC, Aiden Christopher (Christen Childers) of NC, Cynthia Roche (Daniel) of NC, Tracy Yeomans (Richard) of FL, Brian Hisler of FL, Laura Maroney (Franklin) of FL, and Samantha Maroney of FL
Sisters: Dawn Slingerland Jenkins, Renee Mundell (Mike), Tracie Townsend (Doug), Lisa O'Neill, and Cheryl Murdoch (Cleve)
Kim is survived by 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, along with special brother- and sister-in-law Rick and Dale Hisler, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private memorial service.
