Kimberly Joy Snow, age 49, of Cohutta, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Kim had a way of making everyone she encountered feel loved and seen. She was an excellent friend, a devoted mother–ever present in the lives of her six children, and a kind and loving wife to her best friend and husband.
Kim's life was full and happy. Her large family was her joy. Even when her illness caused her discomfort, you would most likely find her in the bleachers, sipping sweet tea and cheering on her children. Her children remember her as a mother who loved to play games, read, hike, cook, drink coffee, and scrapbook.
What stands out most about Kim is her faithfulness and devotion to the one true God. Kim was ill for 11 years. Her faith and perseverance during those years were unmatched. She was a warrior, not only through her battle with Cancer, but a warrior of Christ. Kim refused to give up. In moments of doubt, frustration, and sometimes even anger, she always chose to turn her eyes to Heaven. God was faithful, and Kim was called a "miracle" more than once. She fought with diligence, but if you knew her, what you remembered most after speaking with her was the quiet peace that she always seemed to have. It was a peace that pointed so many to Jesus because it was peace that could only come from Him.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Chris Snow; son, Alex Snow; daughters, Anna, Natalie, Elisabeth, Kate, and Emily Snow; parents, Ralph and Vicki Rabus; sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Craig Grunewald; and brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Susanne Rabus.
The funeral service will be held at Rock Bridge Community Church on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 4:00 pm with Rev. Matt Evans officiating.
The family will receive friends at Rockbridge Community Church on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 1:00 pm until the service time at 4:00 pm.
Our family is abundantly blessed. Over the years, God has provided more than we could have ever asked for. We are not expectant of any gifts or donations, but recognize others' desire to honor Kim by loving her family well. To honor Kim's beautiful spirit and the love she shared so freely, we ask that in lieu of flowers, food, or other gifts you consider making a donation to causes that were close to her heart. These funds will be used to give back to the many medical professionals who took care of Kim during her long battle with cancer, to increase her children's college funds, and to make donations toward causes that Kim loved. While nothing is expected, anything collected will be used to further the kindness, compassion and generosity that defined Kim's life. You can donate here: https://gofund.me/9de12c218
