Kimberlee Hanan Obituary

Kim graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1974. She was a member of the Redwings Drill Team, the Rowing team and the Fencing team. She went on to graduate from West Liberty College, in West Virginia. She moved to Durham in 1981 and began her career in Real Estate. She worked with Fonville Morisey for over 30 years and was currently working with West and Woodall. Don and Kim were married in 1983 and were together for 44 years. They were members at Umstead Pines Golf and Swim at Willowhaven and the University Club.
Kim is survived by her husband, Don Hanan. She is also survived by her brothers in law, Robert "Bobby" Hanan and George Michael "Mike" Hanan; niece, Erin Fletcher; and nephew, Tyler Fletcher.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Kim was one of my sorority sister atWLSC. She was so sweet and very fun. She had the best laugh and lovely smile. So sorry to hear of her passing. My sincere sympathies to her family especially her husband Don. Take care

My most sincere sympathy to all of Kim`s family. We shared a bond of friendship and sisterhood in Alpha Xi Delta.
This past weekend we honored our Order of the Rose- in which Kim´s name was read from the list of those that were celebrated .
So many good memories
She will be missed by all of us

I am so very sorry to find this information and send my deepest sympathies. I was just at West liberty this past weekend celebrating our 50 years of sorority membership and we were all trying to figure out where Kim was and how we could reach her. So many happy memories at West liberty With Kim. Had no idea you all were right in Durham all the time; my husband and I reside in Wilmington and I was in and out of Durham many times over my career. What an amazing woman Kim was and so funny and full of life. Love to all the family, Diane (Billham) Gongaware.
