Kimberley Ann Carner Steffey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 11, 2024.
Kimberley Ann Carner Steffey, a remarkable mother, cherished friend, and adventurous spirit, graced this world with her extraordinary love and kindness. Born to Adrian and John Carner, Kimberley grew up in beautiful Rancho Palos Verdes before making her home in South Pasadena, CA, and later in Arvada, CO. She ultimately settled on her treasured farm in Trussville, AL, where she spent her final years. Preceded in death by her parents and siblings, she leaves behind her daughters Kristen, Kelly, and Kaitlyn; granddaughters Addie and Isabelle; stepmother Betty and a multitude of friends whose lives she touched profoundly.

Kimberley possessed a rare gift for making everyone feel valued and safe. As a devoted mother, she always prioritized her daughters, showering them with boundless love. Her warmth and affection extended beyond her family, embracing her many friends-both lifelong companions and those she met during her extensive travels.

With a deep love for exploring the world, Kimberley's passport was filled with stamps from many countries, with Turkey holding a special place in her heart. Her delight in Turkish culture and television shows reflected her curiosity and zest for life.

When not globetrotting, Kimberley poured her heart into caring for her farm and beloved animals, as well as relishing time with her daughters and grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

Kimberley's magnetic spirit and unwavering love were impossible to forget. She effortlessly forged deep connections with everyone she met, and her genuine nature ensured that these bonds would endure.

On November 26th, 2024, at age 65, Kimberley passed away peacefully in Birmingham, AL, surrounded by her loving family. The immeasurable love, kindness, and adventure she embodied will be her lasting legacy, uplifting and encouraging all who were fortunate to know and love her.

In honor of Kimberley's vibrant spirit and love for life, memorial celebrations will be planned for January in Los Angeles, CA and February in Birmingham, AL.

I can't believe these two beautiful ladies are not with us anymore. Kim was a great person and a great friend. She felt like my own daughter after her mom passed. I don't know what God was thinking by taking her so soon. Rest in Peace, my friend.

Kim and I were besties in our last two years of high school. We went to the prom with our boyfriends in her daddy´s nice Mercedes! Lol! That was her soon to be husband Kevin? She was such a close friend and I could tell her anything. She was shy and very humble back then. Very classic beauty she had. Just like her mother. I really treasured our friendship and never ever forgot her

I spent my junior and senior year of high school with Kim! We went to prom together with our boyfriends in her daddy´s very cool Mercedes. Kim and I were very close friends during that time and hung out together constantly. She made this incredible barbecued lemon chicken for us on the weekends up at her house in PV. I saw her a few times after high school and met her 1st baby girl who was just a few months old. Kim was elated and beyond happy. I´m so sad for her passing but know that she is in a beautiful paradise. Everything that was said n this announcement is so true and exactly the way I remember her. Bless you KiM´s family and friends. She was remarkable and beautiful with unendless grace and beauty!

I met the lovely Kim for the first time in Turkey for the 2024 tour that her lovely self and Lauren had organised! I spoke to her via messenger for 10 months leading up to our tour and she was always so delightful and helpful! She always had a smile and her laugh was infectious..... I´m so glad I did get to meet her and I am sure she will be missed dearly by one and all

I knew your dear mother for only a short time but with her that´s all it took. She took such good care of me when I got sick in Cappadocia. Her smile, her kindness and genuine regard for the comfort of all who knew her were so wonderful. She will be missed.

Many of us first met Kim online in our Turkish group. She was kind, sweet, and genuine, and I decided to take part in a travel group to Türkiye, planned and led by Kim with her long-time friend, Lauren. Before the trip, Kim and I messaged back and forth every day for many months ~ why? ~ because she had introduced me to her favorite Turkish series and actor, and we checked in and laughed and discussed it. It was a nice way to get to know each other from afar. In September 2022, we met in person and traveled together. That trip is one of the most memorable of my life, due to Kim and Lauren. They had a knack for bringing together a group of compatible people and creating an atmosphere for both learning and laughter. Kim was taken from us way too soon. I will miss her and think of her often, and I am holding her family in my heart. May God bless and keep and comfort them.

I met Kim when I went on a tour of Turkey in 2022. We shared a love of Dizi's and Baris! Was very sad to hear of her passing. Such a beautiful lady who was only in my life for 2 weeks but I remember her well and send my condolences to her family
