Kimberly Allen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mountain Memorial Funeral Home on Apr. 25, 2025.
Kimberly Allen passed away at age 64, in Woodland Park, Colorado on March 27th, 2025. She was born on June 5, 1960 in Burlington, Massachusetts, the third child of Carlton (Bim)Allen and Ernestine (Tuni) Edwards Allen.
Her father's job involved several moves during her childhood, including Burlington, Massachusetts, Lincoln Park, New Jersey, Hartsdale, New York and then Delmar, New York. While living in Delmar, Kimberly met her lifelong friend, Debbie Argiris Romeo, with whom she shared many adventures. They sometimes included Kimberly's younger brother, Peter, as their mascot, but who Kimberly was fiercely protective of.
In the summer before eighth grade, the family moved to Madison, New Jersey. Kimberly attended the Madison Junior School, and then Madison High School. With her kind and fun-loving personality, she connected with many friends, and maintained those friendships following high school.
While in high school, Kimberly was an active member of the Long Hill Chapel youth group, and also worked at a Friendly's ice cream store, providing her with a number of humorous interactions with customers, which she shared with friends and family members.
The family spent many summers in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, where she grew close to her cousins Leslie and Rob Edwards. She also became lifelong friends with Sandra Curtis and Karen Gwinn, both cousins and residents of Cape North, Nova Scotia, along with many other Canadian relatives.
After high school, Kimberly attended West Virginia University, where she majored in business. She later transferred to the University of Florida, where she completed her degree in business/marketing.
After college, Kimberly took a job with AT&T in sales and marketing, which moved her to the greater Boston area. Later, she accepted a position at a medical research facility at Boston University, working with several doctors engaged in research.
Kimberly moved to Colorado for seven years, right next-door to her brother, Matt, and his family. They loved having her nearby, and she doted on her nieces and nephews. After moving back to New Jersey for several years, she returned to Colorado in February 2024.
Kimberly was a lifelong sports fan, loyal to the Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. She also rooted for the New York Giants, as that was her dad's team.
She was a loyal friend to her friends. Even when she wasn't working, she texted or called people on a regular basis to stay in touch. She had a sharp and witty sense of humor, which she used with people she knew well, or when she felt like someone needed to be 'taken down a peg or two' (particularly her brothers Matt and Peter)!
Kimberly is survived by her brother, Scott, her brother Matthew and his wife Debbie, her youngest brother, Peter, and his wife, Heather, and by her sister-in-law, Debbie Raysik. She's also survived by nine beloved nieces and nephews: Steven (with wife Lainey), Katie, Emily (with husband Josh), Daniel, Elizabeth, Jonathan, John, Shae, and Tate. She also has two grand-nieces, Lael and Evelyn.
Animals were another lifelong love for Kimberly, whether they were horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils or anything else with fur. In lieu of flowers, Kimberly would appreciate support for the animal rescue shelter where she volunteered, TCRAS, in Divide, Colorado. https://www.tcrascolorado.org/

I only found out today about Kimberly´s passing. We met and I took her to a Met vs. Pirates ballgame at Shea Stadium. I have nice memories of our times together. Sympathy to her family!

I am one of Kimberly´s Canadian cousins, Johnena Gwynn Cavell, and am saddened to just recently hear of her passing. Please accept my deepest sympathies to the family.
I did not get to spend much time with Kimberly but what time I did was certainly sweet.
