Kimberly Armstrong Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home - Harpers Ferry on Mar. 1, 2026.
Kimberly "Kimmy" Dawn Armstrong, 56, reached the Kingdom of Heaven on February, 26, 2026 in the comfort of her home.

Born on March 22, 1969, in Charles Town, West Virginia, to Larry and Elda Buracker. Kimmy was preceded in death by her sister, Stacy Hernandez (Buracker), and is survived by her brother-in-law, Richard Hernandez. She also leaves behind her sister, Sherry Wiltshire (Buracker) and husband Marshall; Dennis Grove and wife Brenda; and Kenneth Grove and wife Molly.

Kimmy was the epitome of love and embraced every walk of life with open arms. She created a safe haven filled with laughter, joy and memories to last a lifetime. Her resilience was a force to be reckoned with, but it was her faith that guided her. Kimmy had a deep love for vintage finds, coffee at two in the morning and equality for all.

She will be infinitely missed by her dedicated and loving husband of 41 years, Joseph "Joe" Allen Armstrong with whom, she shared many cherished decades with.

Motherhood was Kimmy's purpose in life, and she devoted herself to her children and grandchildren: Jessica Armstrong-Fowler and husband, Adam Fowler; Nikki Armstrong; Tasha Armstrong; Lauren Armstrong-Fisher and husband, Mike Fisher. She took enormous pride in being a beloved "Maw Maw" to eight grandchildren: Joey, Makenzie, Kyleigh, Emma, Jace, Maddox, Tanner, and Elijah. Each of them is left with a permanent ache following her sudden passing.

She is also survived by two best friends, Kathy Diavolikis of Kearneysville and William "Bill" Emanuel of Lewiston, Maine; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will wholeheartedly miss her presence.

Kimmy leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength and unwavering love. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched.

In lieu of services, the family invites loved ones to privately celebrate Kimmy's life and the joy she brought to others.
