Kimberly Dawn Block

Kimberly Dawn Block, a beacon of strength and warmth, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the age of 57. Those who had the privilege to know Kimberly were blessed by her vibrant spirit. Even amidst a formidable 5-year battle with colon cancer, she radiated positivity and hope, drawing her strength from her deep Christian faith.
Born on May 5, 1966, in Arkansas to Rudolph Sewell and Mary (Anderson), Kimberly would later move to Buna, TX, in 2005, accompanying the love of her life, Barry Block.
To Kimberly, family was everything. She found immense joy in life's simple moments, whether it was the gleam in her grandchildren's eyes, or the intricate patterns she created while crocheting. As a proud grandmother, she weaved not just yarn but tales of wisdom, love, and legacy.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Barry Block of Buna; loving son, Ryan Reesor and his wife Ashley of Spring; cherished daughters, Kristin Kelley and her husband John of Tomball, Taylor Reesor and Larry Aguilar of Pearland, and Hannah Block of Buna; stepchildren, Debra Block and Scott Wood of Houston; mother, Mary Gurganus of Arkansas; sister, Michele Glenn of Arkansas; and her five adored grandchildren, along with numerous family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna, TX. Burial will follow at Antioch cemetery. Visitation will commence at 1 pm prior to the service.
