Kimberly Carol Brackin Moore, 55, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 10, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Poplar Creek Cemetery.
Kim was a member of the Grove Baptist Church, and was very strong in her faith. She loved the Lord with all of her heart. She was so proud of her children and she loved being a grandmother (Mimi) to her three beautiful grandchildren. Kim was a graduate of Muscle Shoals High School and received her Associate of Computer Science from Northwest Shoals Community College. She retired in the fall of 2024 from the Eye Care medical field, having worked as an Ophthalmology Technician. She truly loved her job and the lifelong friendships she made.
Years earlier in her life, she was especially proud to be able to teach children in Preschool, Mother's Day Out programs, Awanas, Sunday School, VBS, and much more at different churches in the area. She had such a sweet spirit and kind heart by which she lived her life. Kim made such an impact on everyone that she met. Her beautiful smile would light up the room, her soft voice and kind heart was so contagious to all that knew her. Kim was an incredible, loving wife and mother that always put others' needs before her own. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
Kim was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Underwood (John); father, Larry Brackin; and brother, Kevin Brackin. She is survived by her devoted husband of thirty-two years, Ben Moore; her sons, Kaleb Moore (Star) and Sawyer Moore (Bailey); stepbrothers, Adam Underwood (Priscilla) and Zack Underwood (Jenny); grandchildren, Marlee, Mckinlee, and Preston Moore; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joey Moore, Mark McLeary, Clent McLeary, Gene Hartsfield, Robbie Phraner, and Jonathan Tilley.
This Earth lost a beautiful person, but Heaven gained an Angel. Well done, thou good and Faithful servant.
