Kimberly Michelle Melott Camarillo, 35, of
Caddo Mills, Texas, went home to be with her Lord on August 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born January 10, 1990, in Garland, Texas, Kim grew up in Sachse and Lavon, filling every space she entered with laughter, light, and
a hint of mischief. Since 2014, she had made Caddo Mills her home - a place where her heart and her family flourished. Kim was the beloved daughter of Sherry and Michael Melott, devoted wife of Sam Camarillo, and fiercely loving mother to Summer, Samuel, Benjamin, Noah, Ezekiel, Emelia, and Aliya. She was the loved daughter-in-law of Alma and Samuel Camarillo. She was the cherished sister of
Matthew "Bubba" Melott and his wife Amanda, and granddaughter of Charles Roy McGrew. She leaves behind a large and loving extended family - aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will forever feel the space she filled. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Carolyn McGrew, and David and Donna Melott. Kim's life was a tapestry of strength, grace, joy, and compassion. She was a firecracker wrapped in sunshine - a Texas tornado of goodness, laughter, and light. She had the sweetest heart, the brightest smile, and a mischievous sparkle in her eyes that let you know she was about to make you laugh. She was never fake, never afraid to be honest, and always made those around her feel seen, loved, and appreciated. Her children were her world, and she poured her whole heart into motherhood. Kim had a rare gift for seeing each of her children exactly as they were - quirks, strengths, flaws, and all - and loving them completely. She was calm and steady even in the joyful chaos of a big family, attending every open house, school lunch, karate class, church service, and field trip. She championed their teachers, defended their dreams, and built a home where they knew they were treasured. She loved the outdoors -a true lover of nature, she often explored the
outdoors, finding peace and wonder in every leaf and trail, from fishing trips with her kids, teaching them patience and the thrill of a good catch, to sitting together to watch the sun rise or set in quiet awe and sunny afternoons outside, to stargazing and moon watching under wide Texas skies and bonfires with smores. But she also made time for the "girly" moments like painting fingers and toes or enjoying a pedicure together, creating sweet memories in every season of life. Friends and family often called her "Dr. Kim" because if there was a problem to solve, she would research until she found the answers. She had an instinct for when someone was in danger and the determination to insist, they get help. She could butterfly a cut better than some doctors could stitch, and she never hesitated to pick up the phone - calling her mother to double-check her ideas, brainstorm solutions, and make sure she had the very best answer for the people she loved. Her passion for reading and research reflected her endless desire to learn, understand, and grow. Kim was adventurous, spunky, stubborn in the best way, and deeply rooted in her faith. She loved fiercely, advocated for the underdog since she was a little girl, and rescued countless animals along the way. She was handy, often calling her dad for advice on home and car repairs, and she always looked for a better way to navigate life's challenges with grace and positivity. Even when the cards she was dealt were hard, she met them fearlessly, lighting up the darkness with her unshakable spirit. She practiced love as a verb - knowing everyone's "love language" and speaking it fluently. She checked on friends and family without being asked, researched the best advice for others, and left you better than she found you. Her marriage to Sam was a testimony of love, partnership, and faith that inspired everyone who knew them. Kim's fight is over, but her legacy lives on in the beautiful children she raised with unwavering
devotion. Her light, laughter, and love will ripple through generations. She will be missed beyond words and remembered as a precious spirit - one of a kind, genuine, and unforgettable. A celebration of Kim's life will be held August 16, 2025, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Generation Faith Center, 2881 TX-276, Quinlan, TX 75474. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her by loving your people fiercely, advocating for the underdog, and finding the joy in every moment - just as Kim did.
