Kimberly Rene’ Ratcliff, age 63, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025. She was born at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland, June 23, 1961, to James Ratcliff and the late Joyce Ratcliff.
Kim is survived by her dad, James Ratcliff, and her sister Denise Burk. As well as Brother-in-law, Don Burk, two nephews, Corey Burk (Lindsey Burk), Kyler Burk (Kara Burk), as well as three great-nephews (Camren Burk, Henry Burk, and Jaxson Burk), two great-nieces (Alice Burk and Avery Burk). All of the afore mentioned gentlemen will serve as honorary pall-bearers. Kim didn’t have any children, but did have 2 puppies, Tramp and a new puppy named Mabel.
Kim attended school in Lowndes County and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1979. After high school, Kim went to college to pursue a nursing career and earned her Doctorate of Nursing in December 2013. Kim specialized in Geriatric Care where she spent several years in that field and had several friends as colleagues whom she kept In contact with.
Kim graciously spent the last several years as her dad’s in-home caregiver. She was a member of the East Columbus Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or Columbus-Lowndes Humane Society.
Memorial services for Kim Ratcliff will be conducted at Memorial Funeral Home on March 15, at 11:00 am. Visitation with the family will be at 10:00 am.
Internment will be at Friendship Cemetery immediately following the funeral service (private)
