Kimberly Lynn Ricketts
September 29, 1971-September 23, 2022
GENESEO-Kimberly Lynn Ricketts, 50, of Geneseo, passed through to heaven Friday, September 23, 2022 in her home, surrounded by family.
Her greatest joy was taking care of and being with her family. She absolutely loved being a wife, mama, grams, and she was so naturally amazing in each of those roles. She met Mike, the love of her life, and her best friend 32 years ago, and they were married in 1995.
She enjoyed being active, being outdoors, and experiencing new challenges and adventures. Some of her greatest pleasures were the simple things: a warm ray of sunshine, an autumn breeze, a hot cup of coffee, listening to music on the deck, video chats with her grandchildren, or cuddling on the couch with her husband.
She liked camping, fishing, baseball games, traveling, boat rides, baking cookies, macramé, reading books and tending to her flower garden.
Kim was stunningly beautiful, inside and out. She had a glowing personality, a warm, radiant smile and an extraordinary laugh that filled the room.
She was so incredibly giving, caring and welcoming. She was gentle, yet strong. She loved everyone around her selflessly and intentionally. Her unconditional love was woven so deeply into the fabric of every life she touched, leaving an impression on everyone who knew her - a truly beautiful soul.
She was so well-loved and respected. The impact she made will continue to be felt far beyond those who knew her personally.
Kim's legacy will forever be a beautiful reflection of yesterday and a joyful promise of tomorrow.
She will be so very missed by her husband, Mike; her children, Tawni (Clay) Gibson, Sierra (Isaac) Gardner and Logan; her grandchildren, Granger, Renn and future grandchildren; her parents, Karen and Charlie Hollandsworth; and her sister, Pam Baldwin.
She is now united in heaven with her brother, Kris McMillan; her Grams, Mildred Worrell and many others whom she loved so dearly.
A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at The Bend Event Center, 910 Bend Boulevard, East Moline, Illinois 61244. Memorials can be made to Gilda's Club, Quad Cities.

Kim and I were there for each other when we were kids. Our parents were going through hard times and she was always there to talk to. It saddens my Soul that I won´t be able to speak with her. My thoughts are with Mike and his family. Til I see you again, rest easy Kim!

I am so saddened to hear of Kim's passing. I got to know her when I would come in to the Colona Clinic for deliveries. She was always so sweet. May she rest in peace. God bless her.
