Kimmie Dickinson, a vibrant soul with an infectious smile and an unwavering spirit, left this world on July 24, 2025, at the age of 40. Born on May 29, 1985, in St. Louis, Missouri, Kimmie brought joy and light into the lives of everyone who knew her. She truly had the biggest heart, pouring love into her family and friends with passion and exuberance.
Kimmie's career as an activities director at Oak Tree in Jefferson City was a testament to her dedication to giving back to others, particularly the elderly residents she served. Through her work, she made a lasting impact on many lives, embodying the warmth and compassion that defined her character. Her education at Missouri Valley College, where she played soccer, reflects her spirited nature not just on the field, but in all aspects of her life.
Kimmie's interests extended beyond her professional commitments; she was an avid sports fan who relished attending Cardinals and Blues games, where her enthusiasm was as vibrant as the teams she supported. Her passion for thrift shopping made her a familiar face at Goodwill, where she delighted in the thrill of finding a hidden treasure. Daisies adorned her life, symbolizing her cheerful disposition, while her beloved cat, Hibbie, provided her with companionship and affection that resonated with her nurturing spirit.
On October 15, 2022, Kimmie celebrated one of her proudest accomplishments, starting her journey as a devoted wife to her husband, Mark Dickinson. Their bond strengthened her already generous heart, as she found in him a partner who shared in her laughter and love for life.
Kimmie is survived by her loving family. She is cherished by her husband, Mark; her parents, Drew and Joann Harris; her brother, Greg (Anne Blake) Harris; and her sister, Sarah (Paul) Graham. Kimmie also leaves behind her mother-in-law, Linda (Thomas) Zappe; sister-in-law, Christy (Chris) Gentili; three cherished nephews, Caleb, Henry, and Liam; five treasured nieces, Lila, Kylie, Brooklyn, Emma, and Vera; and her grandma, Elaine. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by three aunts, Lori (Cary), Linda (Curt), and Gail (Bud); her uncle, Rich; seven cousins, Chris (Christy), Rachel (Eric), Daniel, Doug (Cathy), Carol (Earl), Scott, and Dave (Trish); as well as a host of other family members and friends who were lucky to know her.
Kimmie was preceded in death by her beloved grandma, Lorraine; grandpa, George; and aunt, Cheryl. Their memories will forever be cherished alongside hers.
As we celebrate Kimmie’s life, we are reminded of the joy she brought to those around her, the depths of her love, and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind. Her spirit will remain alive in our hearts, where her laughter and vibrant personality will continue to resonate. She was a rare and precious gem, and she will be profoundly missed.
