Devanand Chandan
November 4, 2025
I have been a patient of Dr. Kirit Gandhi for over 30 years. He was more than a doctor to me, he was a very good friend. He even told me that he looked at me as a younger brother. I remember when I was in Christ Hospital in September 2007, his daughter was getting married in PA I believe, and he still called me to get me discharged. He was also the PCP of my wife, brother and his wife.
Whenever I visited him he often told some of his patients that I was a film star because my name is Devanand (known to Indians), even though I am from Guyana.
I will dearly miss him and offer our families sympathy his wife Mina, whom I also got to know, and his family.
I know he belongs with the Mahatma.

Dr. Kirit Gandhi was one of the finest human beings I have ever known - ethical, honest, and truly dedicated to his profession. For more than 25 years, he cared for my parents with compassion, respect, and commitment. He was not just a doctor; he was family.
He was also a very dear friend of mine - always smiling, always positive, and full of warmth. He loved my singing and had even wished for me to perform a show at his home one day. Sadly, God had other plans and didn´t let that happen.
My heart is deeply broken by his heavenly journey. The world has lost a wonderful soul, and Heaven has gained a lovely doctor and a beautiful friend.
Rest in peace, Dr. Gandhi. Your kindness, smile, and legacy of care will forever remain in our hearts....Actor Patel
