Kirk Berridge, 72, Kokomo, passed away at 3:51 a.m., Friday, Dec. 24, 2010 at his residence. Kirk was born March 6, 1938 in Evansville, to the late James and Eileen Berridge. He was a 1955 Graduate of Kokomo High School, was a member of the basketball, cross country and track teams, member of the Class of 1955's DIVs. Kirk was a lifelong member of the Kokomo YMCA, a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church in Kokomo, retired with 37 years of service at Indiana Bell/AT&T, was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and the Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge. He was an avid gardner. Kirk always valued friends and family over fame and fortune. Survivors include his children; Debbie Cave, of Kokomo, Marcia Busch, of Noblesville, Susan Miller, of Kokomo, Julie Wilson, husband Bill, of Kokomo, Jim Berridge wife Janet of Atlanta, Georgia, Kirk Berridge, Dallas, Texas, and Alicia Berridge, of Arcadia; a brother, Kent Berridge of Middleburg, Flordia, and a half brother Jim Berridge of South Bend; a sister-in-law, Janet Berridge (Hines) of Corpus Christi, Texas, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eileen Berridge, and a brother Jack Berridge. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster St. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Main Street United Methodist Church 830 South Main Street in Kokomo with one hour of visiting prior to the service at the Church. Rev. Nancy Blevins will be officiating. Burial will take place in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the Kokomo YMCA 200 North Union St., Kokomo. Envelopes will be provided at the mortuary.
