Dear Studlien Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Kirsten at the Mayor´s Office of Housing when she first started there. We worked together on the Neighborhood Homes Initiative. I was so impressed with Kirsten`s thoughtfulness, commitment to the community, and going above and beyond. When there were tough decisions to make about redeveloping a parcel, Kirsten would go out and actually look at the parcel and look at the context of it in relationship to the other homes in the neighborhood and then report back - she amazed me with her commitment to doing what was right.
I remember her as having a very dry sense of humor, which was appreciated very much - especially when we had a tough task ahead of us.
We shared a love of dogs and I know her loss is also a loss for Lincoln.
I will join you today in a celebration of her life and look forward to meeting you. I will be thinking about you in the days weeks and months ahead.
Sincerely,
Maureen Flynn
