Kitty Menger CRYSTAL FALLS - Kitty "Kathleen" Menger, 74, of 264 Jule Lake Road, Crystal Falls, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. She was born June 14, 1930, in Kingsford, daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothea (Wegner) Berg. Kitty graduated from Kingsford High School in 1948. She married Robert Menger of Milwaukee on Oct. 6, 1951. Kitty and Bob lived in Wauwatosa, Wis. for 30 years where they raised three daughters. She was a devoted Girl Scout and 4-H leader. After Bob retired, they moved to Jule Lake in 1990. Kitty was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. She had a great love of music, which included teaching piano, singing tenor for the church choir, and square dancing with the Diamond Squares. Kitty was an avid reader, painter, seamstress, quilter, gardener, and liked to travel. She loved crafts of all kinds and her art work was greatly admired and appreciated by family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Robert Menger; daughters, Roberta Menger of Bayfield, Wis., Dede Menger (Paul Javins) of Milwaukee and Carol (Jeff) Exner of Louisville, Ky.; a brother, Bruce "Chuck" (Mary) Berg of Imlay City, lower Michigan; a sister, Pat Carlson of Crystal Falls; and grandchildren, Nathan Delano, Jack Baggerley, and Lisa and Sarah Exner. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church. Pastor Lee Liverance will officiate.
