Kitty Peterfreund Obituary
Kitty was a talented chef who spent many years working in New York City, sharing her love through food before retiring. She was deeply artistic, with a creative spirit that showed in everything she did, and she greatly enjoyed spending time playing bingo. A devoted animal lover, Kitty had a special affection for cats and was known for rescuing and caring for animals whenever she could.
Alongside her beloved late husband, Richard "Richie" Peterfreund, Kitty was an avid traveler. Together they explored many places, creating cherished memories that she held close throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Richard Peterfreund. Kitty is survived by her niece Rachel and her husband Silfredo Rivera, Carmen Roman, and Louis Hernandez, as well as many loving extended family members and friends who will miss her kindness, warmth, and generous heart.
Kitty will be remembered for her love of family, her compassion for animals, her creativity, and the full, vibrant life she lived.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 9am until 12pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin. A burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in East Brunswick.
