Kolby was born on July 1, 1997 and passed away October 4, 2025 at the age of 28.
He graduated from Springtown High School in 2015 and attended Weatherford College and started working for Amazon and worked the night shift for many years.
He enjoyed camping, fishing ,reading, sports, music, videos, and movies. He had a love for online gaming and made many online friends . He also loved dogs and loved his dog J.D. very much who has since passed.
He was thoughtful and a kind hearted person and loved laughter, enjoyed making you laugh, and his laugh was contagious.
He leaves behind many loved ones and friends.
He is survived by his father Gary Hughes, Jr. and his wife Emily. Mother Melinda Smith and her husband Delbert.
Step siblings and spouses and children: Courtney and David Waller and Graham and Luke and Andrew and Ann Shutt. Grandparents: Gary and Connie Hughes, Sr. and Evelyn Hubbard. Great grandfather: James Hampton.
Aunts and Uncles: Deryl Hughes, Tina Dow, Sheila and Bobby Merck, and Melissa and Heath McDowell.
Cousins and spouses and children: Colt and Kirby Hughes and Justin, Casey and Brad Shafer, Jeremy and Alesha Dow and children, Valerie and Travis Brown and children, Stephen and DiAnne Dow and children, Drevon Johnson, Whitney and Chad Seybert and children, Tyler and Kelsey McDowell and children, and Danah and Todd Bigham and children, and Cory Merck.
