Koree H. Gackle, 61, of Bluffton, South Carolina, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 25, 2026, at 9:47 p.m., surrounded by his four children.
Koree was born on July 18, 1964. He proudly served his country as an Army Ranger and was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard. Following his military service, he worked for several years at Napa Auto Parts, where he was known as a hardworking and dependable man.
Koree had a deep love for wolves and admired their strength, loyalty, and free spirit. In his free time, he enjoyed gaming on his computer, especially playing World of Warcraft, where he formed many friendships with fellow players from around the world.
Above all else, Koree cherished his family. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and playing with his beloved grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness.
He is survived by his sons, Cody Gackle (40) of California and Anthony Gackle (34) of Montana; his daughters, Tabitha Finch (36) of New Hampshire and Kristina Phillips (36) of South Carolina; his sister, Kyleen Gackle; and his loving grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ina Gackle.
A celebration of life is currently being planned and will be announced at a later date.
Koree will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, and the deep love he carried for his family. Though he has left this world, his spirit lives on — wild, strong, and free — like the wolf he so deeply admired, forever running beneath open skies.
