Koren was a former substitute teacher at North Harrison School Corporation and a homemaker. She was of the Catholic Faith. She enjoyed reading, raising flowers, and cooking for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David John Walker.
She is survived by her husband, Jay M. Pearson of Ramsey, Indiana; son, Matthew Tyler Pearson of Palmyra, Indiana; sisters, Sandy Johnson of Beechwood, Indiana and Sherry Barnes of Marengo, Indiana; and a grandchild, Thielen Jay Pearson.
A memorial service will be on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 306 Spring Street, Milltown, Indiana 47145. Friends may call on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
Bro. Bruce Hawkins will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes formerly know as Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes (Formerly JDRF), 225 S. East Street, Suite 280, Indianapolis, Indiana 46202 and/or American Cancer Society- P.O. Box 681405, Indianapolis, Indiana 46268.
