Korvin Talon Sword
September 25, 2010 – November 1, 2025
Monroe, Michigan has lost a bright spark far too soon. Korvin Talon Sword, who was born on September 25, 2010, and departed this world unexpectedly on November 1, 2025, at the tender age of 15. He left everyone who knew him with memories full of laughter, mischief, and an insatiable zest for life.
Born in
Monroe, Michigan, Korvin was a vivacious young man who passed away unexpectedly at Corewell Health Trenton Hospital, Trenton, Michigan. Though his time with us was shorter than we hoped, he certainly made the most of it.
Korvin was a student at Airport High School, where he was not just learning the ropes of academia, but also mastering the art of welding. He had a passion for running and playing football with his friends, and he could often be found engrossed in video games, most notably, his beloved "The Last of Us." A true connoisseur of music, Korvin enjoyed a diverse range of genres from country to rap to rock, always keeping his headphones close by.
A loving brother to Mirrah, with whom he shared a special bond, Korvin cherished the unique twin-like relationship they had, being just 10 months apart. They delighted in playfully picking on each other and trading food, creating lifelong memories.
Korvin had a silly sense of humor that kept those around him smiling. He was known for his kindness, respectfulness, and his willingness to lend a hand wherever needed. Whether he was collecting and playing Yu-Gi-Oh cards, honing his skills with a BB gun, or doting on his dog Ellie and two cats, Ethel "Bean" and Koraline, Korvin lived life with a fullness and joy that was infectious.
He is survived by his loving parents, Eric and Kerry (Knapchuck) Sword of Carleton, his siblings, Mirrah Belle and Apollo Jaxon Sword, grandparents David and Kathy Knapchuck, and Debra Sword, as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Korvin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wiley J Sword, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
