Kris Patterson

Kristie Annette Patterson, of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at her home with family by her side. She was 69.
Kris was born on January 22, 1955 to Leo and Lois (Christopherson) Hollingsworth in Vermillion, South Dakota. On June 21, 1980 she entered into marriage with Keith Patterson at the United Methodist Church in Cadillac, Michigan. The couple spent one day short of 36 years together before Keith's time of passing. Kris spent many years working in the medical field (clerical) and worked for Bowman & Rogers for 13 years before retiring. Kris's pride, joy and greatest blessing was their son Casey. She was so proud of him for all his accomplishments and the man he has become. She was a devoted Nascar fan for many years, enjoyed volunteering at chamber events, American legion, and Eagles, served on the Board of Directors of the LC Chamber of Commerce, received the 2014 Citizen of the Year Award, enjoyed scrapbooking, camping and spending time with her family and friends. Kris was the proud Matriarch of the "Fab 5." She was forever thankful and grateful and truly blessed for all the love and support from her friends and family throughout the years.
Kris is survived by her loving son, Casey Patterson of Lake City; brother, Jon Hollingsworth of Stockton, CA; niece, Ashley (Vince) Harper of Windsor, CA; great nephew Leo; In-laws, Fred and Chris Prielipp of Marion, Vickie Harris of Gowen, Mark and Andrea Patterson of Carson City and several nieces and nephews and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Keith Patterson and her parents.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 1 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of service at Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City, Michigan. Officiating will be Rev. Herbet Helsel. A Celebration of Life will be with food and fellowship held immediately following at the American Legion, Post #300 in Lake City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Missaukee Humane Society or Missaukee Commission on Aging.
